I had the pleasure of watching the latest trailer for The Last of Us: Part II at the Los Angeles International Film Festival last week.
The trailer for this sequel to the highly-anticipated The Last Of Us was shown at the festival and has been widely praised for its presentation and the attention to detail that went into it.
This is a movie with a lot going for it, especially considering the budget and scope of the movie itself.
But that’s not what I’m talking about.
That’s not even the main point of this review.
Rather, I’m going to talk about the trailer itself.
The trailer was presented by Naughty Dog, the studio behind The Last, as a celebration of the franchise’s 40th anniversary.
It was released on November 9, 2016, one day after the game was released, and it’s not hard to see why Naughty Dogs decided to show the trailer that way.
The trailers are supposed to be celebratory, and for Naughty’s first trailer to be a celebration for The End of The Line, that’s exactly what it’s going for.
The trailer is about the end of the line.
In the final moments of the game, Ellie and Joel’s parents are brutally murdered by Joel’s group, while in a very literal sense, they were.
This happens over the course of a few minutes, and the trailer has plenty of dramatic imagery that you could call “realistic”.
This is also where the real meat of the story of The Last starts.
As we see, Joel’s gang was responsible for the murders of the people who cared for him, the ones who loved him and who were in love with him, his closest friends and family.
And as he begins to rebuild his life and rebuild his relationship with Ellie, he’s faced with the question of whether to leave the group and start over.
It’s a question that Joel has to face as he attempts to live up to his parents legacy.
And that’s where the rest of the film gets interesting.
The Last of us was the first game in the franchise to feature a fully voiced protagonist, Joel.
In fact, it was his character that was so iconic to many fans of the series.
The Last trailer showed the player running, jumping, running, running around, fighting, shooting, killing and generally being all over the place in a way that the series has never really been able to replicate.
It also showed off the game’s unique physics system, which is also something the series is known for, and which also featured in the film.
And while the game didn’t have an entirely voiced protagonist at launch, the player character’s voice was used extensively throughout the game.
This helped create a more grounded and believable story.
I have to give props to Naughty for not only making this trailer, but also the fact that they even included the ending.
It is a fitting ending, and shows how much the franchise has grown since its beginnings in 2008.
The game, of course, has been a massive success and sold millions of copies.
But the game itself also has its own history, and The Last was a game that was heavily influenced by the events of The Longest Journey.
In particular, The Last is one of the best-loved games in the series, and one of its greatest achievements.
The ending, meanwhile, was a big departure from its predecessor, and was the game that showed the players where the game would go next.
And if The Last had any flaws at all, it’s the way it handled Ellie’s death.
What does the trailer have to do with The Last game?
The trailer isn’t a celebration.
In it, Joel and Ellie’s parents, Carl and Nancy, are murdered by the group known as the Upside Down.
Joel, as the leader of the group, was the one who found them and took them to a remote island where he killed them.
Joel had been framed for the crime and his parents were killed, and he was going to live forever.
So what the trailer is saying is that this was Joel’s choice.
He made this decision to end his life, and to put his family on the island, in order to save them.
And what did he do?
He spent his time rebuilding his life.
He went to school, and started a family.
He tried to make a career for himself and get ahead.
And so when he’s finally able to get out of prison, he and Ellie are married and live happily ever after.
They’ve had two kids, and Ellie is an avid gamer.
And of course she was also a big fan of The Lost Vikings.
But it’s Joel’s life choices that are the most notable part of the trailer.
He didn’t kill them.
He saved them.
So the rest is just Joel’s journey and Ellie and Ellie, who are the main characters of the main story.
It’s also the story Joel tells Ellie as he gets his hands on the game once again. In
