On Saturday, two people were shot in the neck and neck, and a third was shot in his left arm.
They are expected to survive, the coroner said.
The two others were shot on the same day, in separate incidents, and both are expected die.
Authorities have said there is no evidence of gang involvement.
No motive has been released.
The New York Post reported that there is speculation that the shooting was connected to an earlier incident.
Police had said there were no gang affiliations and that the two people shot were both of Hispanic ethnicity.
“It was just an isolated incident,” said Nassau County Police Captain Mark Littrell, adding that there were many reports of similar shootings in the area.
“We have no reason to believe it’s related.”
ABC News reported that a man in his 60s was shot multiple times and died shortly after midnight.
He was in stable condition.
The police officer who was shot and wounded also is expected to make a full recovery.
