The announcement comes on the same day as Sky Sport announced it will not broadcast the NRL Grand Final in Melbourne due to the recent coronavirus outbreak.
“It’s a very significant development in the relationship with Sky and I would like to thank them for their continued commitment and for their ongoing support,” NRL chief executive David Gallop said.
“This decision comes after a long and careful review of our relationship with our partners.”

The NRL will not announce the date of the series until later this week.
“The NRL has a great relationship with its partners,” Gallop told reporters.
We are confident that our fans and the NRL will be able to experience the grand final on a Saturday, as it will be a fantastic match for the sport and its fans,” Gallo said.”
We look forward to seeing them back on Sky Sports at some point in the future.”NRL officials have also confirmed they will not be involved in the Grand Final when the AFL and NRL have a match on Saturday.
“We are confident that our fans and the NRL will be able to experience the grand final on a Saturday, as it will be a fantastic match for the sport and its fans,” Gallo said.
The league will not put out a statement to confirm or deny the news.
