With Starfighter’s final chapter nearing, it’s time to talk about the film’s star, Benicio Del Toro.
With his character having died, the fate of his film has come to an end.
While it is no doubt a bittersweet moment for fans, Del Toro has been at the center of the Starfighter universe for a long time.
As a young man, Del Toros first movie role was in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, and he went on to play the lead in the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
Now, with the release of his new film, Del Tofino is ready to celebrate the film by taking to the stage in his home state of California to promote The Last Fighter.
The Last Starfighters star has been in the spotlight since he was announced as the director of Star Wars IX, a project that was meant to be the follow-up to Rogue One.
That film, starring Felicity Jones, has yet to be released.
But as the news of the film breaking came out, the actor shared that he was unsure if he would be returning for the next installment.
However, the future of the series has finally been announced, and Del Toro says that he has already been cast.
“I have been cast to direct The Last Jedi,” he shared in a tweet.
“Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me, the cast, and the team.”
Del Toro is best known for his roles in the Star Wars franchise, including The Last Hero, which was his last film in the franchise.
